1: Addendum to Avi/Impact User Manual for Devices purchased after Nov. 1st 2011

BEFORE USE

  1. ALWAYS buckle and secure all straps before entering avalanche terrain paying close attention to the leg loop and compression straps under your arms.
  2. Periodically check the air cylinders pressure. The gauge should be in the green (or blue if < 65°F). If the gauge is in the red zone, discontinue use and recharge the canister following the instructions in your user's manual.
  3. DO NOT cover or close the air bag pocket. The air bag must be able to exit the air bag pocket in order to inflate.
  4. ALWAYS be cautious of sharp objects around the air bag located in the top of your device.
  5. Read and follow the instructions and warnings that accompany your device before using it and for cleaning and care instructions.

AFTER USE WITH NO INFLATION

  1. Restore activator handle to activator pocket and secure zipper. This will prevent accidental inflation.
  2. DO NOT place near a high heat source or expose your deive to prolonged sunlight. The high- pressure air cylinder should not exceed 130 F.

IN THE EVENT OF AN AVALANCHE

  1. Strongly jerk the activation handle downwards and away from body.
  2. Attempt to ski out of avalanche.
  3. Lock arms over chest and place hands over face.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Keep device clean, dry and free of dirt build up.
  2. Only spot clean with a mild detergent. Do not machine wash or place in dryer!
  3. Store the device in cool dry area. Direct sunlight will reduce the lifetime of device.
  4. Periodically check the device for cuts and deformities. Please return the device to WARY for service if these are found at:
